Wendy’s Restaurants, Inc. opened this new store at “Five Points”, the well-known, heavily traveled intersection of Cottman and Oxford Avenues in Northeast Philadelphia. Until the construction of this new Wendy’s restaurant, the local area was not served by a fast-food restaurant.

The Wendy’s restaurant represents the state-of-the-art in the fast-food industry. The new restaurant is situated on a 0.41 acre parcel with easements on the land of the Burholme Baptist Church for access and parking. The restaurant has a gross floor area of 3,350 square feet and provides seating for 92 patrons. Drive-thru service is expected to represent half of the business volume.

Knudsen Engineering provided civil engineering services on the project including site layout, grading, drainage and utilities design. Responsibilities also included securing permits from the City of Philadelphia.

Completed Summer of 1999
